When Money's Tight...

I've been a genealogy researcher professionally for just a few years. While I make a little money here and there, it certainly isn't enough to support us with.

Two weeks ago, the Texican quit his job as a truck driver, and came home. He was spending more and more time over the road and we simply weren't spending enough time together!

Texican will be 62 on his next birthday, and it was, quite frankly, just the best thing to do for us. Although he went about it a bit awkwardly! He quit that job before finding another! And here I was, ready to remodel my house! [Well, the kitchen at least!]

So, now what was I going to do?

Pray that I won the Lottery? Buy an extra ticket here and there?

I suppose I could always hire Texican out and let him do the remodeling on someone elses home, in hopes he would earn enough money to do mine!

But I know that wouldn't work. I can't get him to finish little jobs about the house here! How much would he get done on someone elses?

Have you ever just wanted to change your house? Improve upon it's looks? Functions?

Then you'll understand my dilemma. I'd had my heart set on this... now it will have to wait!
